Tiki Heart is a great place to drink cocktails (the whole liter costs 10 Euros), eat an awesome Burger and have a chat before heading to the Wild at Heart. In summer and early autumn you can also sit outside.
Special drink: The "Love Cup" (1 liter cocktail)
The Wild at Heart is just next to it, belongs to the same people and the drinks are pretty much the same, though only in Tiki Heart you get cocktails. This place looks like it could be straight out of a Tarantino movie! Lots of concerts in there, lots of cool people, too.

The Syndikat is a 100% Punk Rock Bar. Pretty political - tons of info material, posters and stuff - but not actually disturbing... People there are...... nice. Fun. Punks! Good people, and dirt cheap place to get wasted. This bar is pure DIY. It's not a big place - but not too small either. Tables and chairs, barstools, table-soccer (Fussball) and pool billard.....
House-Special: HIMBEERCHEN (A Rasberry Vodka Shot - selfmade, of course).

This is the place to be when everything else is already closed. Also nice people, drinks aren't that expensive and the atmosphere is perfect for continuing drinking and chatting. It has been reported that some people just forget to leave the place and stay for 3 days and nights...

Good place to visit while Tiger Army's playing at SO36 opposite the street. A pretty old, rustic place, but still cosy. The bar excists since 1900 (some parts of the interior are still from that time), but it's the Franken since the middle 80s. The drinks don't cost too much, prices are okay. And if you might be bored at some point: use the pinball machine and don't forget it's more fun the more you drink!
White Trash Fast Food

Upstairs is the Restaurant, you can have Steak and Burger or also some German food in there. Beer is pretty expensive (0,5 l costs 4 Euros). There's a small stage in here, but usually concerts are downstairs. The stage is a bit bigger, you have a big bar, but the people working here are pretty slow (so decide early what you wanna drink!). Beer is a bit cheaper down there. Toilets are disgusting and the people visiting the place are often yuppies and tourists coming to see the "freaks".
Roadrunner's Paradise

A nice place for concerts, prices for drinks are normal. The stage is quite big, but it's getting crowded in there pretty fast. Often used for Rockabilly events, sometimes there are also Psychobilly concerts.

An East Berlin punk and metal bar. It's quite big, it has like three different rooms but only one bar. The drinks aren't expensive, they even have some homemade beer which is the cheapest one you can get in there. Music is usually a bit louder so it's not as easy to talk as (e.g.) at Tiki Heart. Cool place to have lots of beers and drink until the morning comes. The music is always good, the service really nice and fast and if you always give tips, you get free shots. Opposite the street is a bank, so if you need money you don't have to search long. It's also only a five minutes walk away from the Wild at Heart, so you can also go there after a concert.

German food - Located 2 minutes from the Huxleys! Nice place for German food and brunch on sundays. It's quite cheap, but the quality is good and the meals are big. Sundays this place offers a brunch for only EUR 6.90, and all other days of the week they have a breakfast buffet (all you can eat) for only EUR 3.90. Advice: You should try the Eisbein (super pork leg, haha!) or the Käsespätzle!

Italian food - A great place if you're really hungry and like good Pizza and Wine. Probably one of the best pizza places in Berlin. It's not cheap (no 2,50 € pizzas there!), but the quality is great! The toppings are always fresh and you get more than normal pepperoni pizzas. Their service is a bit on the chaotic side. Unfortunately often over crowded...

Mexican food - Good mexican place though I think it was better when it opened a few years ago. The food is nice (you definately should try the nachos or the catfish!) and the cocktails are cheap - all-time Happy Hour. Advice: Bring enough time with you, they have lots of different cocktails!

Austrian food - If you love Schnitzel - come here! You can get one with potatoe salad, fries or other potatoe side orders. The hungrier you are the better, cause the plates are really packed with food. The people working in there are always friendly (even if you're tattooed and got weird hair) and if you can speak and understand a bit German, the owner of the restaurant can tell you the story of the Schnitzel. Good beer, good meat - good place! Advice: You should be very hungry if you go there!

German food - A pretty old one, but still it's good. Also big Schnitzel, didn't try the other food yet, but it all looks and sounds really good. They got some special beer there (Bürgerbräu), which is really good tasting. Might interest the German ones who read or watched "Herr Lehmann": Ja, das ist genau die Markthalle, und innen sieht es sogar genauso aus, wie der Kulissennachbau im Film. Wer weder den Film gesehen noch das Buch gelesen hat: Schämt euch, sofort nachholen! Conclusion: A good place to stay longer, have lots of food and beer, but you should have enough money with you. It will be worth it. Advice: Try their Bürgerbräu!
